Torri and Tim’s Fall Wedding // Olathe, Kansas
Torri and Tim are some of the kindest people ever. When we met for our consultation, we ended up talking for over an hour before realizing we hadn’t even spoken of their wedding plans yet which was supposed to be the reason we met up in the first place! I quickly learned how much Tim loved Star Wars, and was so delighted to find out at a second consultation with just Torri that she was going to surprise him at the wedding with Rebel Alliance cuff links, and Darth Vader bringing in his ring at the ceremony (also with the Rebel Alliance logo).
We met at their church in Olathe, Kansas and had their first look and ceremony (Tim’s reaction was amazing to Vader, of course) and followed it with their couples portraits. There’s nothing quite as sweet as a newly married couple on a perfectly warm fall day in the Midwest. The leaves had just started changing colors, and the breeze was gently blowing around us. The golden light sweeping through the swaying branches of the weeping willow was straight out of a fairy tale.
Looking at these photos from their portrait session, I can so perfectly remember the true giggles, smiles, and looks of love between these two. It was something amazing to be a part of, and I’m so thankful I was able to be the one that documented it for them.
