Meg and Stan’s Orchard Wedding // Weston, Missouri
Meg and Stan are the kind of people that you meet and you just want to be friends with. We met outside Monarch Coffee in Kansas City for our first consultation, their adorable pup, Bandit, joining them. Meg and I had a mutual friend who referred me, and it was fun to find out about the long-time connection (I went to elementary school with that mutual friend)!
A few days before the wedding, Meg called and asked if we would be able to join them for a wedding morning hike at Weston Bend State Park in Missouri and I nearly squeaked out “YES!” It was the best addition to their amazing wedding day festivities.
We went on a hike with the almost-married-couple and their bridal party, and had such a great time documenting the adventurous moments leading up to their continued wedding day festivities. We ended up not only being the photographers, but map holders and trail leaders, so we can add that to the resume as well. ;)
The rest of the day was spent at Weston Red Barn Farm and was full of apples, celebration, laughter, frisbee, tacos, homemade peach ice cream, and so much joy! Meg and Stan exchanged their vows, gave each other gifts, read scripture together, and prayed in private before the ceremony.
It was such a beautiful August day and we are so thankful we were able to be a part of it!
